Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are settling into the third marking period, which means a new semester, new subjects to be learned, and some exciting upcoming events. As the year progresses, it is critical for students to understand that there are definite keys to success. For example, the student who develops the habit of doing more than required often forms a good work ethic, a pride in accomplishment, and the willingness and drive to succeed. As parents, monitoring and knowing your child’s progress is a great way to ensure he/she stays on track and is learning. One way for you to monitor how well your child is doing is through our online HAC system. Please be sure to utilize this great tool.

Mailings
As you know, we are now distributing interim progress reports and report cards at school. We will alert you through our all-call system to inform you when they were distributed, so there is no confusion about the day of distribution.

Severe Weather Instructions
If school is to be closed or delayed, automated phone calls will be broadcast through the Alert Now message system. If your phone number is changed, or if you are not currently receiving Alert Now messages, please be sure to contact the school at 995-8081 so that we have your correct information. You can also check the Delaware School Closing Information website, our school and district websites, tune to WILM, WDEL, WSTW, and WJBR radio, or the major Philadelphia television station news for updates.
